Leonard W. Lynn, Jr.

Leonard was born July 3, 1924 to the late Mrs. Nell and Mr. Leonard W. Lynn, Sr. in Porterdale, GA. He was an avid prayer warrior and loved his family very much. Mr. Lynn was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and served as a firefighter for the Atlanta Fire Department until his retirement. He was also a devoted member of the Rex Memorial Baptist Church. Leonard was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lynn was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Iona Patrick Lynn; and two siblings, Jim Lynn and Olivia Lynn. He is survived by his sons, Leonard “Donny” Lynn (Brenda) of Jefferson, GA; Gary W. Lynn (Melanie) of Ellenwood, GA; Larry “Wayne” Lynn (Kathy) of Jonesboro, GA; daughters, Gail P. Summers of Stockbridge, GA; Nell “Denice” Bruce (James) of McDonough, GA; brother, Rick Lynn (Linda) of Tallahassee, FL; sisters, Jeanine Glover (Billy) of Lithia Springs, GA and Geraldine Pitts of Bethlehem, GA; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2020 at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, GA 30281, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. A graveside service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2020 in Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, GA 30281.
