Marlene A. Kobeck

Marlene A. Riggins Kobeck, age 80, of Stockbridge, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Rockdale Healthcare Center. Marlene was born on August 30, 1944, in Florida and was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her brother, Guy (Teressa) Anderson of Fayetteville, GA; her five children: Sherri Jones of McDonough, GA; Melinda Riggins of Tacoma, WA; Kenneth (Rebecca) Riggins of Stockbridge, GA; Scott (Shannon) Riggins of Stockbridge, GA; and Jonathan (Kristen) Kobeck of Stockbridge, GA. Marlene was also a proud grandmother to Andrew Riggins, Jessica Jones, Tony (Erica) Jones, Jamie Jones, Angelicia Jones, Juan (Bubba) Jones, Susann (Khampho) Chanthakeo, Wesley (Khoeum Gnik) Riggins, Amanda Riggins, Gabriella Riggins, Marco Solis, Chris Ogles, Brittany Ogles, and Tristen Daniel. In addition, she is survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom brought her great joy.

Marlene was known for her kindness, warmth, and dedication to her family. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She had a unique ability to make others feel loved and cared for, and her presence will be dearly missed by all.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Ellenwood Methodist Church, located at 5210 Bouldercrest Rd, Ellenwood, GA 30294. All are welcome to attend and honor Marlene’s memory.
