So many memories. Hot nights sleeping on the spare twin bed, the beautiful dining room table and the silver polished and put away, the swing of the kitchen door, the phone in the little space between rooms, re-painting a baby carriage to use when my sister was born, the wallpaper and the breakfast table in the kitchen, grits and eggs for breakfast, cake frosting in the cabinet, the mysterious back garden, the mysterious actic with shoes galore for dress up, mowing tbe front lawn with a small hand mower, the swings at the park, and the 2-3 pillows you sat on while you drove, window rolled down, and a few saucy words for misbehaving drivers tossed into the street. I always cherished my Atlanta  summers with you. They burned a quiet memory in my heart.

Ammommie was spunky and honest with a wicked sense of humor! That is what I loved most about her. She loved her family (which included her cats) and was a voracious reader. I love her and I will miss her.

Eating cornflakes and drinking coffee early in the morning as we plan our day,  walking through your back yard watering flowers as you point out "volunteers" (or plants that a bird or the wind planted", taking a road trip down to Florida to see Great Aunt Betty and her family...I will always remember these moments and all the good times I had with you during our summer visits. I will miss you, Grandmother, and never forget you.  Tunde

My name is Cathy Mehok and I worked for Dr. Mark Gobbel for twenty three years, and Miss Brinkley was absolutely on of my favorite patients. I was blessed to work at an office where I met so many wonderful people. And her granddaughters were so wonderful, they too such good care. What a blessing to have her in there lives that long, and best of all she had a great sense of humor.

My Dear Grandmother,
I will remember our time together: cutting paper dolls from magazines, hot hot hot' morning tea with buttery toast, feeding the pretty kitties (especially Blue-Eyes), raking crisp fall leaves in the yard, going on adventures in the Buick to the library, drinking Coke at the cafeteria, looking through pages in your seemingly endless supply of reading material, loving the breeze from the rattling fan in the Atlanta summer, admiring Glen Arden Way from the window, creaking stairs on the way to the attic room, finding our four-leaf clover at the park among an incredible sea of green, keeping Sam's seat free in front of the TV for the ball game (Go Braves!), scheduling our shopping trips around Days of Our Lives, and so much more. Most of all, I will remember you. I'll continue to take good care of sister's name Naida' and your middle name Elizabeth'.

I know you will miss your sweet grandmother.  She was truly one of a kind.   I hope you take solace in family and friends to ease your pain.   Honor her by sharing your memories of the good times you had together.

Norma was a constant fixture for Glen Arden.  She was warm, welcoming and frequently found enjoying her front yard, even in her 90s.  Our deepest sympathy to her family.  She was an amazing woman.

I did not know Ms. Brinkley, but when I saw she lived 107 I thought WOW, what a blessing! Though I know the family will grieve her loss, I hope you hold on to the memories you had with her. 

May God hug your hearts and bring you joy as you reflect on those beautiful memories.
