

Patricia Ann Johnson, lovingly known to many as a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend, was born on February 14, 1952—Valentine’s Day—in the great year of 1952. She was a proud graduate of Phillips High School in Five Points, Alabama.
Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Joe Johnson and Maggie Lou Johnson. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Christine R. Bailey of Decatur, Georgia; Willie “Pete” Johnson of Five Points, Alabama; Orin Lee Johnson of Five Points, Alabama; Milford R. Johnson of Bayonne, New Jersey; James E. “Bubber” Johnson of Five Points, Alabama; Homer L. Asberry of Lithonia, Georgia; Evelyn Johnson of Five Points, Alabama; and her oldest brother, Joseph Johnson (Rodessa) of Lanett, Alabama.
For more than 20 years, Patricia was a celebrated and dedicated weaver at West Point Pepperell Cotton Mill in Lanett, Alabama. During her time there, she met L.Z. Johnson Jr., and from that union was born her greatest joy, her only son, Christopher Lamar Johnson.
Patricia’s life was deeply rooted in her faith. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Five Points, Alabama. She later joined Rehobeth Baptist Church in Valley, Alabama, where she faithfully served as both a Deacon’s wife and later a Minister’s wife. In 2009, Patricia relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, with her son and became a devoted member of Rhema Christian Fellowship in Atlanta, Georgia. While there, she faithfully served as Head of the Mother Board, offering wisdom, guidance, and spiritual encouragement to many.
Patricia leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted son, Christopher Lamar Johnson of Stockbridge, Georgia; her sister, Magarine Johnson of Lithonia, Georgia; and a special nephew, Marcus S. Johnson of Phenix City, Alabama. She also leaves behind nieces Monica J. Lawson of Huntsville, Alabama; Melinda J. Turner of Five Points, Alabama; Sandra Johnson of Leeds, Alabama; Angela J. Shears (Dante) of Lanett, Alabama; and Breanna S. Turner of Lanett, Alabama. Her nephews include Brian Howell of New Jersey; Kevin Howell of New Jersey; Reggie Patten of New York; Joe Andrew Bailey of Lithonia, Georgia; Anthony Bailey of Stockbridge, Georgia; and Gerald Champion of Atlanta, Georgia, along with a host of extended family and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Patricia peacefully transitioned in her sleep early Friday morning, January 30, 2026, at her home in Stockbridge, Georgia, where she had resided for the past eight years with her beloved son, Christopher. At the time of her passing, her sister Magarine and nephew Anthony were lovingly present.
Her life was a testament to faith, family, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
A memorial service will be held at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia, 30281. This celebration of her life is scheduled for February 14, 2026, starting at 3:00 pm.
