Ronald was born January 29, 1948 in Atlanta, GA to the late Homer and Margaret Jackson. Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jo Jackson; brothers, Norman, Lamar, and Ken; and sisters, Linda and Cheryl. He is survived by three children, Rhonda Story (Dana), Ryan Jackson (Elisa), and Kristy Kolpak (Robert); four grandsons, Brandon, Waylon, TJ, and Finnegan; two granddaughters, Brittney and Tiffany; three great grandchildren, Connor, Tanner, and Ansleigh; two sisters, Barbara, Connie Land (Greg); sister-in-law, Loretta Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronald worked for National Linen Service where he completed 35 years of safe driving service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and the Atlanta Falcons. He also enjoyed NASCAR Racing, scratch offs, and his Natural Light beer. He enjoyed family get-togethers, especially cook outs. He was the life of the party and grillmaster. Ronald loved his fur babies - cats and dogs. He offered his home to many that needed shelter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather for Ronald's visitation on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of his life will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 Noon in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
Ronald had a special love for rescuing cats and dogs in need. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the Henry County Animal Initiative and/or Winging Cat Rescue.
