Ruth E. Medlin, 75 of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Mrs. Medlin was born in Wurzburg, Germany to the late Herman and Katherina Koch. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to all she met. Mrs. Medlin enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, but most of all spending time with her family. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert O. Medlin, Jr. She is survived by her son Robert “Bob” Medlin and Jody Robinson of Marietta, GA; grandchildren Mariah Medlin, Chandler Medlin, both of Marietta, GA, and CJ Pucko of McDonough, GA; sister Johanna Campbell of Wichita, KS; brother Herman Koch of Germany; nieces Denise, Kathy, Kim, Ruth; nephews John, and Robert . Memorial services will be held 7:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2010 at Ward’s Tara Chapel with Rev. Ken Davidson officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Horis A.
