Thomas L McBrayer

Thomas Lee McBrayer, age 87, of McDonough, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 1pm. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

An Atlanta native, Mr. McBrayer retired from Delta Airlines as Foreman of Wheel and Brake Shop. He was a member of Stockbridge Masonic Lodge and served as a member of the Provost Guard for the Yaarab Temple. In this capacity Mr. McBrayer raised funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children. He is a member of Salem Baptist in McDonough. He was the son of William Ezra McBrayer and Alice Coreen Marchman McBrayer, brother to George William McBrayer. He is proceeded in death in death by his wife Margaret Alice Burgess McBrayer.

Thomas McBrayer is survived by his daughter Regina McBrayer Meeks and her husband Mark Meeks; grandchildren Fonda Lee Spear Gestwicki and husband Robert Gestwicki, Desiree Spear Celaya and husband Benjamin Celaya, and Nicholas Jackson Meeks; great-grandchildren Adam Gestwicki, John Thomas Gestwicki, Malley Alice Celaya, and Benjamin Spear Celaya; niece Cheryl Wellington and many nieces and nephews.
