Vera Arnett

On Sunday, March 10, 2024, Vera M. Arnett, passed away at the age of 96 in Newnan, Georgia. Vera was born August 22, 1927, to Charles W. Millican and Ethel Eason Millican of Falkville, Alabama. On December 24, 1949, she married the love of her life William (Bill) C. Arnett.

They raised two daughters, Brenda and Karen. Vera was a devoted and loving wife to Bill for 47 years prior to his passing in December 1997. Vera will be reunited with her husband and siblings, Iva Mae Alvis, Albert Millican, Virgil Millican, Horace Millican, Ralph Millican and Arvil Millican.

Vera is survived by her daughters, Brenda Kersey (Allen) of Newnan, Georgia, Karen Still (David) of Tyrone, Georgia, grandchildren Allison Morris (Tim) of Dallas, Georgia, and Clif Kersey (Ansley) of Newnan, Georgia, four great grandchildren Mitchell Kersey, Will Morris, Macy Kersey and Maddox Kersey. Vera was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews. She was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping with her girls. Vera loved spending time in the kitchen cooking for family. Christmas was her favorite holiday where everyone enjoyed celebrating at her beautifully decorated home.

Please join us in celebration and remembrance of Vera’s life a visitation for Vera will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM. An interment will occur Friday, March 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
