Virtie Jones, age 84, of Stockbridge, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Steve Murell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.
Mrs. Jones loved writing poetry and walking around her yard. She is survived by her children; Carol & Lee Clark, Alan & Sheila Jones, Joy Jones and Tracy & Tommy Inman, 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert V. Jones and son, Gary V. Jones.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the funeral home.
