William “Bill” Stanley, age 82, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 1pm, with Billy Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stanley retired from the Dekalb Board of Education after 30 years. He had a love of animals and was a very proud paw paw. He is survived by: wife, Hazel Stanley of 58 years; children; Ronald & Debbie Stanley, Vicki & John Walden and Richard & Tracy Stanley, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son, John Stanley.
