

Antonio Maciel Andrade passed away on February 6th, 2026 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Praia do Norte, Faial, Azores on March 19th, 1947 to the late Antonio Gomes Andrade and Julia Maciel Andrade. Antonio came to the United States in 1972 and later made his home in Stockton for nearly 40 years. He built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.
He was the devoted husband of Amalia Ferreira Andrade of 53 years. Together they shared a life rooted in love and dedication to their family. He was the loving father to Christina M. Andrade of Scottsdale, Arizona, Steven F. Andrade and his wife, Christina (Branco) Andrade of Lodi, California. He found immense joy in his grandson, Giancarlo Antonio Andrade, who brought him great happiness.
Antonio is survived by his siblings: Joseph Andrade, Maria Andrade, Olivia Avila, and Alice Peixoto. He was predeceased by his sister, Maria Faria. He will be deeply missed by his family and many dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend all services on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026. The Rosary and Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, CA 95219. A Catholic Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton, CA 95207. The burial will follow after mass, and will take place at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA 95204. A reception and luncheon will follow at the Stockton Ballroom, 9650 Thornton Road, Stockton, CA 95209.
Due to the season of Lent, flowers will remain in the church entryway during Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Catholic Church and/or by requesting a Mass intention in honor of Antonio. Those who wish to send flowers are welcome to do so.
Antonio’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew him.
