My brother Paul and I met you that day on March Lane you are our father the blood test don’t lie you acknowledged my mother Betty I remember you coming to my house when I was a little girl telling me you were my father which really scared  me we didn’t ask to be born. We wanted nothing from you it made my brother and I happy we met our father, and even though we would have loved to have gotten to know you, it didn’t happen rest in peace, Arthur Hernandez, my biological father

Dad, we miss you so much!  Your grandkids are growing up to be such good people.  You would be proud of them.  Mom misses you tremendously as Tanis and I do too!  We love you dad!

I miss you everyday Dad!  You were a great example of what a grandfather should be and I find myself doing these same things with your great grandchildren .  Daaaadddd!  Love you!

My search for you has brought me to this page and now I am sad to read that Art is no longer with us.

I am very grateful that I was able to meet Art so many years ago.  I will never forget the beautiful time we shared during your stay in Germany.

Its been two years dad and i still can hear you say "SON" when we greeted each other.  I miss you dad and will always love you!  

I miss you Art. You were a great soldier and the best 1st Sgt any officer could ask for. You were like a brother to me.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to your family, Aunt Nancy, of my faithful and kindhearted uncle Art passing from this world, 
I was always truly blessed to have him as my uncle since the day I received my doll from Spain, he said to me when I was 8. He made me know that I was always welcome with his family, who made me so fond of hearing him  
speak with such beautiful admiration  about how proud he was to be married to his wonderful and beautiful wife and his very active and intelligent children. He really made a dramatic life changing moment in my life when he communicated to me that I was a daughter he always wanted, that made feel like I was very valuable to someone which made me feel very blessed and sparked a great journey to become a person he would be very proud of. Thank you uncle Art! You truly were that one and only man in my life that truly showed me what a real family man looks like. 

May all our prayers be answered from Our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit that my uncle Art will be with our Loving and Most Wonderful King in Heaven.

Sending prayers to you Nancy, my heart is in pain for your loss of you dear sweet husband Art. He was alway so kind to our family , he will be missed deeply. Art and I were friends for over 40 years.  That is two Army careers.  He was a gentle man and very competent in any endeavor. Whether leading men in the Army or a task he alone was working on the results were always remarkable. After he retired he did handyman work like a pro.

Having shared family times with Art and his family I felt privileged to be included among his friends. He dearly loved Nancy, his bride of over 58 years and his two sons, Arthur and Steve, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He will always be loved and remembered by me as a brother and a professional military peer.  He was an excellent First Sergeant and servant of the Defense Department as a GS employee for 30 years.

Attached is a picture of my Army Reserve unit in 1984. Art is in the first row. We had a great unit, thanks to Art.

My beloved husband, I miss you beyond words. My world will never be the same without you. I will miss the care you gave me, the talks we shared,  your warm hand holding my hand and so many more things. We almost completed 59 years of marriage and during those years together we were blessed.  The Lord said “ The one who believes in me will live”.  You take my heart with you.  This is not goodbye, it’s until we meet again. I will love you forever.
