

On Saturday, July 11, Bonnie Jean Duncan, 74, of Stockton, California, passed away at her home knowing the love of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Ronald Duncan, sister Mary Roecks Hart, daughters Lauri McLain and Suzanne Duncan, grandchildren Jon McLain, Annamarie, Nicholas, and Zoemae Swartz. She graduated from Tracy High, earned her Bachelors of Arts at Oregon State University, and went on to complete a Masters Degree at University of the Pacific. Bonnie retired from teaching at the secondary level from Stockton Unified School District. At Delta college Bonnie taught Individual Conditioning and yoga for a number of years. Committed to active living, she reveled in running, Aikido, and aerobics. A well rounded traveler, she was fortunate enough to visit 6 of the seven continents, and traveled to each of the 50 states. In Stockton, many beautiful plants that thrived in her care. At home, she was a gracious host for holiday gatherings and made sure food and home décor were memorable. She enjoyed participating in Delta Kappa Gamma, the San Joaquin Historical society, and her book club. She will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held at Quail Lakes Baptist church July 22, 2015 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society
