Jane Romero, 63, died June 10, 2011, with her family and friends by her side in Stockton, CA. Jane was born on December 25, 1947, in Buenavista, Guimaras, Philippines to the late Rev. Philip and Rufina Irabon. She graduated from Good Shepherd’s Fold Academy and finished her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Mary Johnston College of Nursing. She Spent 40 years in the nursing profession and worked at both County General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Jane was beloved by family, colleagues, and friends and will be sorely missed by all. She is survived by Ralph, husband of 40 years, and their son, Junji of New York, New York; her aunt Clara; sister, Rose and her husband, Bert; brothers, Percy and Chuck and his wife Leny; several cousins and their spouses, and several nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church located at 3535 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, CA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the American cancer Society/Stockton for Life Relay, 207 East Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204 in honor of Jane Romero.
