Chon Hernandez

Chon "Nonie" Hernandez, 68, peacefully passed away in his home on February 25, 2015 surrounded by family. Chon was born on April 25, 1946 in French Camp, CA to Chon Hernandez Sr. and Ramona Cervantes. Chon married the love of his life, Helen, on May 10, 1969 in Reno, NV. He was employed as a truck driver for 47 years and retired in 2007. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed building models and spending time in Reno, NV. Chon was a life-long resident of Stockton, CA.

Chon is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Helen; his son, Raymond (Maria), his daughter, Yvonne, and his son, Rudy (Juanita); his grandchildren Leticia (Jeremy), Lynzie, Alexis, Julissa, Brenden, Julian, Junie, Jayleen, and Joel; and his siblings Patricia, Raymond, Arthur, and Inez.

Chon is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Peter and Joey.

A Viewing will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 San Joaquin St, Stockton on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 9:00am to 11:00am. A Memorial Service will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel at 11:00am. A Burial will take place at San Joaquin Cemetery, Harding Way and Cemetery Lane, following completion of the service.
