

Damian Davon Alexander Easter, born in Stockton, CA on November 13, 1994 to Barry Duane Easter and Mary Lee Hernandez. On Saturday, October 1, 2016, the Earth shook when Damian was suddenly called Home after a tragic car accident in Stockton. Damian was a fiery Spirit full of Love and Light! A natural born athlete, exhibiting confidence and pride, Damian played football as a freshman and wrestled during his sophomore and junior years of high school. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 2013, Damian committed to boxing full-time and had a dream going pro. He dedicated his time to cultivating his boxing career and worked hard and trained daily; soon he earned a state title. Damian won the California State Golden Glove in March 2015, earning two unanimous decisions to claim this title. Receiving this title advanced him to one of the most prestigious amateur boxing tournaments in the country, National Golden Gloves Tournament, in 2015. Damian was quoted in a Stockton Record article, “…I was off and on a lot and trying to do other sports in high school. But now I take this sport [boxing] more seriously as far as conditioning, and I just won state. I think that’s pretty nice.” (written by Calixtro Romias, April 25, 2015) As a coveted member of Cal Street Boxing Club, Damian’s legacy includes mentoring aspiring boxers in the community. Cal Street Boxing Gym & School provides training for students that would like to become Amateur Boxers and someday starting Pro Boxing Careers. Through his own accomplishments and dedication, Damian was a burst of Light striving for his dream with HEART, LAUGHTER, and DRIVE that inspired so many young folks to RIZE and reach for their dreams too. Damian’s passion permeated in all aspects of his life and can be felt through his relationships as well. He was well known, kind, and funny. He held great compassion for others. If he felt he could provide a morsel of relief whether it’s a kind word, a huge dimpled smile, or sparring match – HE WAS RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! In a Blessed blended Family, Damian was reared and lived with his father, Barry and stepmother, Teresa Sandoval in Stockton, CA. He was a carefree, kind-hearted Spirit and a loving little instigator, at times. He encouraged many, utilizing his boxing talents as a vehicle to push the limits and lift others to better themselves. Damian loved people, boxing, and his Family. He was a Son; Brother; Uncle; Grandson; Cousin; Friend; and Lover. He will be deeply missed!
