

Dario Perez Dominguez born Dec.19, 1926 in Amarillo, Texas passed peacefully in Stockton, California to be with The Lord and love of his life his wife of 72 years the late Lucia Espitia Dominguez, on Mar. 16, 2016 at the age of 89. He married in Amarillo, TX on Mar. 3, 1944. Dario honorably served in the US Army during WWII, after which returning to his wife and son in Amarillo. With a growing family, he migrated West living in Pasadena and Salinas Valley, finally settling in Stockton, California where he raised his family. He had a strong work ethic that began young, working on the railroad and as a trucker before starting his 63 year career as a roofer. His rough calloused hands showed decades of hard work, and many Dominguez's today can trace their beginnings on the roof to Dario. He set the foundation for Dominguez Roofing Company of Stockton. His door was always open and frequently visited by six generations of loved ones, showing the immense value he placed on family unity and unconditional love. He was proud of his large family and was undoubtedly the backbone and patriarch. He is the beloved father to Antonio & (Antonia) Dominguez, Luis & (Rebecca) Dominguez, Lydia Dominguez, Rita & (Alfredo) Mendez, Eva & (Richard) Guerrero, David & (Sylvia) Dominguez, Lenore and (the late Gilbert) Estrada, and Guadalupe & (Ralph) Ontiveros. Amazing and wonderful grandfather to 23 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, 34 great-great grandchildren, brother to Isauro Dominguez & Maria Casillas of Stockton. Preceded in death by his wife Lucia Espitia Dominguez, parents Isauro and Natividad Dominguez, and 9 siblings, grandson Jose (Che) Dominguez, great-grandsons Louie Dominguez III, and Felipe Dario Sanchez. Rosary will be on Tues Mar. 22, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, Mar. 23, 2016 at 10am. Committal will be at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
