Earnestine “Ernie” McCall-Dillingham, loved by all who knew her, passed away peacefully October 20th surrounded by her children and husband. Hardworking and diligent, in 1968 she took the LVN licensing exam and challenged the California State board resulting in her becoming a fully Licensed Vocational Nurse. Earnestine worked for 25 years as a Cardiac Care nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A dedicated student, she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Hugo, Oklahoma class of 1958. Earnestine was very proud of this and attended every class reunion. A God fearing woman and a faithful servant at Valley View Church of Christ, you could always count on Earnestine to volunteer at several charitable events—she was a true believer in giving all of herself for the greater good. Her selfless service earned her the Jefferson award, a community service award signed by the State Assembly and the Governor.
