Eddie was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Edward and Dolores Gonzales. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane.
Eddie's presence in this world was impactful. He was a selfless, kind, funny, generous person who maintained friendships and relationships and made sure people knew he cared about them. He worked hard in his jobs over the years, building lasting friendships with many of his coworkers. Eddie made people laugh regularly with his funny quips and comments, but he also listened with compassion and care to anyone who needed an ear.
Eddie married the love of his life, Mary Jane, on September 5, 2009. Eddie & MJ first met when they both worked at Delta Junior College. Mary Jane was quiet and shy, but Eddie made a point to develop a friendship that eventually lead to Mary Jane becoming his wife. Eddie and MJ shared a sense of adventure that took them around the world in their exploration. Together they traveled to the Philippines, Italy, London. Paris, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, Tokyo, Portugal, Hong Kong, Israel, Madrid and Barcelona making incredible memories along the way.
Eddie also loved and excelled at cooking. He took great pride in making meals for Mary Jane, enjoying the laborious effort and delicious results. Mary Jane's favorites of Eddie's recipes include his Lemon Mustard Chicken and his Sumac Chicken. When they weren't traveling the world, they loved visiting their favorite restaurants and trying new ones.
Eddie's passing leaves a gigantic hole for all who loved him. Those of us left behind feel so privileged that we had the great honor of having Eddie in our lives.
