I'm sorry that we always kept losing touch, often times going years without speaking.  I'm sorry that the way I had to find out that you're gone was through a random search to find you... several years later.  The last time that we spoke was in January of 2012.

You had always asked me why I kept talking to you, every now and again.  I want you to know, that was because in some of the darkest days of my life, you were a blessing.  I was going through a lot, but when we were together, you never judged me, though there is a lot that others would have reason to.  And I always told you that my only regret was that I didn't treat you better.  I meant that.

I don't remember the exact year that we broke up.  But I do want you to know that to this day, for just a split second I randomly find myself missing you just a little.  I have no intention of stopping.  Sleep well Ehren.  I'll think of you.

Ehren,

You probably wouldn't remember me if we saw each other, but I never forgot you. We met when I was in third grade, and you in second, and you became my best friend...though I'm afraid I wasn't as good a friend to you in return as I should have been.

You stuck it out though. You stayed friends with a stupid, crazy, self-centered nerd all the way up through eighth grade, through all the terrors of middle school. Mostly other middle schoolers, heh. 

How on earth you put up with me, I'll never know, but you were good to me when few other people were, and I'll never forget it.

Then I moved, and we lost touch, and I always regretted that. But I grew up, and you grew up, and I'm in awe at everything you accomplished in your life. I was always proud to call you my friend, even when we grew apart, and I'll always regret that we didn't get to know each other as the men we became.

Rest in peace, my friend. You deserved all the happiness in the world.

My dearest Ehren, all of our hearts are hurting in your absence. We miss you so very much and will forever miss your smile, your impishness, your laughter, and your incredible technical skills. Sweet soul,

I will never forget the evening we spent together one summer when staying at M & C's house.  You were watching TV, I was making a zillion sausages for spaghetti sauce.  You kept tasting my concoction and giving me your opinion for good or not so good.  Who knows where M & C were (it was a night before heading up to the cabin), but I remember laughing hysterically with you in spite of my sauce.

I still can't believe Ehren is gone! A wonderful person that was taken away from us way too soon.

We can't believe this. Thank you Pat and Muriel for bringing Ehren into our lives. He will always be that sweet person we first met when he was a year old. Even then he had a quirky sense of humor!

I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Ehren's passing.  He always had a smile and jokes when he worked on our systems.  I will miss him.

You will be missed my friend.  Life without your daily texts filled with wit and *facepalm* will leave a hole that will be tough to fill.  I am sad that I only knew you for such a short time.

Our funny man and he who remembered all the passwords has gone. You leave a hole in our lives.

You were a big part of my life bro, I've had so many great memories made with you, so many good times, so many adventures. I'm going to continue going on to places we used to go in your memory, and to new places. I hope you will be at peace my friend. I've been missing you and going to miss you more.

I don't know what to say...so very sad.  Any time we lose a family member it hurts, but especially one of the younger generation.  My thoughts and prayers are with you Muriel and Patrick, and of course your whole family.

I'm so glad that I had the chance to meet you and to call you my friend. I really miss you right now, but i look forward to seeing you again in heaven.

I met Ehren through his friends Cliena and Wendy. I know he was loved and will be dearly missed. My prayers are offered up for his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.

Mrs. Fish, I want to share my deepest condolences with you and your family. I was not close with Ehren but from all have heard and read he led a beautiful and peaceful life; one that ended too soon.  You have all been in my thoughts and will continue to be.

I have been so blessed to have Ehren in my life and so fortunate to see him grow in his faith and his walk with God!   Though he will be missed, I find comfort in knowing I will see him again.   All my love and prayers to the family and friends who have suffered a great loss!!

He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will always be missed & never forgotten.

Dear Muriel and Pat, My children were in school with Ehren and we remember him well.  We are both so shocked and saddened by his passing and offer our prayers to you.  Know that Ehren touched many lives and will go on living in those memories.  God bless you.

I first met Ehren while attending junior high at Waverly. He had a brilliant mind.  We would discuss music and history.  

It was a year later that I became a student of his mother Muriel Fish.  She was an amazing teacher and would often talk about her sons growing up.  

My condolences to Ehren's family.   He will not he forgotten and his influence will continue to shine on his family for years to come.

Oh Muriel, there are no words I can say that will lessen the pain on this path you now follow.  My heart hurts for you and your family.  Let your memories of Ehren give you the strength to face each day and know that he is with you in your heart.  My prayers of strength  and love to you.

Muriel and Pat,  I am so so sorry for your loss.  Ehren was such a special boy with a brilliant mind.  I remember well his insights and sense of humor.  I'll cherish the memories of teaching him in Linden so may years ago.  Gob Bless You.

I had the pleasure of attending Linden High School with Ehren and was fortunate enough to see him around town from time to time.  He would always greet me with a smile and we would chat about the latest happenings in our lives.  He had such a kind heart and I was a better person for knowing him.  He will truly be missed.

Muriel, I am so sorry for the loss of Ehren. I know your pain and with God's help you and your family will get through. I wish I could write a poem to honor him him as you did for Jessica.

I was Ehren's teacher 20 years ago.  I have always remembered him! Such a good heart and brilliant mind. Such wonderful parents, as well! I wish there was something I could say or do to take away your pain. Ehren had a blessed and beautiful life with a wonderful family and true friends-I am glad I was able to be a part of his life, even for the short time that he was in my class.  God bless you, and hopefully the knowledge that he is in heaven will help ease the pain.
