She was born in Los Angeles, California on November 22, 1933. Her childhood in Los Angeles, California instilled a lifelong passion for her family. She was very family orientated. Elodia and her husband Pedro first met and bonded over a mutual appreciation for God and continue to share this throughout their long and happy marriage. She leaves behind her children Rosemary Mendiola, Margaret Mendiola, Minnie Chavez, Juan Larez, Pedro Larez Ybanez and Felipe Rodriguez. She was proceeded in death by her husband Pedro Larez, her daughter Eleanor Larez, her sons Pedro and Jimmy Larez, her parents Minnie and Jimmy Delayo, her brothers Manuel, Bernie, Jessie and Pedro, and her sisters Isabel, Jenny, Felipa and Julia.
A Visitation for Elodia will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A Rosary will occur Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 6:00 PM, 809 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Saint Linus Church, 2620 S B St, Stockton, California 95206. A Committal service will occur Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E Harding Way, Stockton, California 95204. All friends and family are welcome.
