

Felicidad Albinto was born to Paula Bejec and Rufo Umpad on November 23, 1925, in Cebu City, Philippines. She spent most of her childhood in Dalaguete, Cebu, where her mother hailed from. Felicidad pursued her education in Cebu City, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. It was in Cebu City that she met her husband, Conrado Albinto, and they decided to settle and raise their family there.
Felicidad was a strong and dedicated woman, prioritizing the care of her family. She was a stay-at-home mom for a period until her children were a bit older. Although she did not pursue a teaching career due to the challenging assignments in remote areas, she chose to become a civil servant with the Philippine Postal Service. Through hard work and determination, she rose through the ranks to become a Postmaster, serving in various branches in Cebu , including Talisay and eventually in Cebu Capitol Post Office Branch before retiring.
Felicidad and Conrado had twelve children, six girls and six boys. She skillfully balanced her work along with the demands of raising a large, active family. Felicidad instilled in her children the values of integrity, hard work, and mutual care. The older children often helped care for the younger ones and assisted with their school assignments.
An intelligent and accomplished woman, Felicidad graduated valedictorian in high school and with high honors in college. She always emphasized the importance of education to her children. Both she and her husband pursued further education later in life and both earned their Master's degree.
After migrating to the United States, she continued her education, earned a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate and worked as a caregiver in San Francisco.
Felicidad was always ready to help those in need, welcomed relatives from afar into her home and supported their educational pursuits. Her generosity and kindness left a lasting impact on the lives she touched.
Felicidad was preceded by her 2 sons, Elvin Albinto, Jaime Albinto, her husband, Conrado Albinto, her parents, Rufo Umpad and Paula Bejec and her brother, Gaudioso Umpad.
She left behind her children, Ditty, Amy, Gil, Luz, Nene, Junie, Omar, Helen, Wilson and Wilma and their spouses and the many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Felicidad's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her. Her legacy of love, strength, and dedication will be deeply missed.
