Frances Salinas, 95, of Stockton, passed away on January 24, 2019 in Stockton. Frances was born in Brawley, California to Natividad and Antonia Jaramillo Armenta on October 5, 1923. She married John B. Salinas on July 19, 1944 in Reno, Nevada. Frances was a loving, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved working in her garden and going to the movies with her husband. Later in life, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at her home, whether it was cooking dinner or spending time with them for weeks at a time during summer.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband John, parents Natividad and Antonia, siblings Refugio, Thomas, Freda, Simona, Angelina, Nellie, Connie, all of Stockton. Frances is survived by her children Christina (Arthur) Garcia, Lydia Palacio, and Charles Salinas. Grandchildren Mel (Elvera), John, Connie, Artie and great-grandchildren Jonathan and Josephine. Brothers and Sisters, Peter (Julia), Rito, Annie, Joe (Paula) Armenta, Beatrice Guzman, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 5th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 6th at 11:00 AM at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
