Gilbert Martin Cabrera Sr.

Gilberto Martin Cabrera Sr , age 70 , was guided by the angels to the heavenly gates when he passed away on Oct 5 th. , 2017. He was born French Camp, Ca on Dec .22, 1946 . He was a graduate of Edison High School class of 1965 and had one year of college education. He worked as a delivery driver, cannery and factory worker . His family was his everything. His love, patience, thoughtfulness was endless . His passion were his grandchildren he would taxi them to school , work , or their activities, go to their sporting practices and games , sharing goodies with his babies Melina and Olivia , always hugging or kissing them . His interests included auto mechanics especially on classic cars, monster trucks , music , football and basketball . He is survived by the love of his life Elena Salmeron , his children Gilberto Cabrera Jr , Rudy ( Sandra ) Cabrera , Marcelia Cabrera , Martha Salmeron and Agustin Salmeron . Grandchildren Melina , Olivia , Julissa , Phillip , Elias , Eric , Vanessa , Deven , Monica , Tony , Sofia , David , Luis and Yesenia, his great grandchildren Jayla and Noah, his brothers Richard “Tommy” (Josie) Cabrera, Art (Mickie Cabrera, & Manuel Cabrera. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Cabrera, sister Annie Cabrera, and his daughter Tanya Cabrera. Gilbert will be missed by all those who knew and loved him . A visitation will be held Thursday October 12 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, followed by a Rosary at 6:30pm, both at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be Friday October 13 at 10:00 am at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church. Final resting place will be San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
