Gloria Ann Washington

7th child of a family of nine. Gloria attended and graduated from Edison High School, as well as

attended classes at University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon and Delta College, in Stockton.

Always a hard worker her first job was with Sandia National Labs in Livermore as a security

guard, from there she went to work for Levi Strauss as a accounting clerk where she won an

award for a money saving process. While working at Levi Strauss she opened a gift shop

featuring her original clothing art work. She later went to work for California Glass company of

Hayward as an accounting clerk where she remained until her illness prevented her from

working full time.

She returned to Sacramento where her family took her in and she became the favorite of her

nieces and nephews.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother and father Clarence and Jacie Washington, siblings

Christine Poole-Jones of Portland Oregon, Gerald Washington of Fresno California, Bruce

Washington of Delphi California. She is survived by her siblings, Kathy Cotton of Fremont, CA,

Stephen Washington of Huntsville Alabama, Douglas Washington of Stockton CA, Janet

Hutchins of Sacramento CA, and Marsha Edmonds of Stockton, CA. She leaves to mourn

many nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
