

Gregory Earl Gallion was born on November 14,1963 in Akron, Ohio. He is the oldest son of Earl and Wilda Gallion. He has three older sisters; Debbie, Linda (who proceeded him to Heaven) and Becky. He has one younger brother, Tom. Tom and Greg were friends as well as brothers their whole lives. Greg was greatly loved by his whole family. Greg moved to Stockton when he was in the third grade. He loved the Arc Avenue Boys. They grew up together and remained lifelong friends. He attended Kennedy Elementary, Marshall Junior High and Edison High School. Greg met his best friend, Eric Moody, at Marshall. They remained best friends throughout his life. Greg also played baseball and was on several award winning teams. Greg joined the army where he was a watercraft mechanic in Virginia and Panama. He loved boats and being out on the water and worked on the Alaskan oil spill after getting out of the Army. Greg worked at Ryder Transportation for over twenty years as a truck technician where he had many close friends. Greg was married to Trish Ricketts. The light of Greg's life was his two sons, Travis and Brad. He was so proud of his boys. The boys shared Greg's love for sports, motorcycles, and cars. Greg enjoyed baseball with his son Travis. You could find Greg at all of Travis's games with the Morada Little League where he was also a coach. Greg loved Travis's Tokay High School baseball team.Greg and Travis also enjoyed challenging each other in golf and playing fantasy football. Brad is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Greg was there every step of the way. Greg enjoyed all the time he spent at Cutting Edge Martial Arts where he became good friends with so many of the parents and students. Mr. Lo and his family were Greg's special friends. Greg loved all of Travis and Brad's friends and treated them as family. Greg had many nieces and nephews. He was able to enjoy Crista and Beth when he was in the Army in Virginia.Brooke, Christin and Laurin were his special girls.He took them out for ice cream and to fairs and loved them dearly. Trish's family and his nieces and nephews were also a big part of his life. Greg was special friends with Nair Fernandez. He saw her to the end of her life. His special friend, JoAnn Anderson, saw Greg to the end of his life. His family so appreciates all her love and care that she gave to him at the end of his life. Greg loved sports, his Harley and his El Camino, but his family and friends were always most important to him. His big smile and positive attitude stayed with him to the end. He wanted to live and fought hard to beat pancreatitis. He will be missed by so many. We will have a happy reunion with him in Heaven someday.
