Henry Joseph Lopez (May 24, 1940 - August 23, 2025) passed away at his home in Stockton, California on August 23, 2025 surrounded by his family after a long illness. Henry was born on May 24, 1940, in Stockton, California to Jospeh Lopez and Encarnación Nunes.
Henry attended Fair Oaks Elementary School in Stockton, California, St. Vincent's School for Boys in San Rafael, and Franklin High in Stockton. Henry enlisted in the US Army from 1958 to 1962 where he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division which was to be sent to Germany during The Cold War from 1961-1962. After the military, Henry worked at ACME Body Shop and the John Mansfield Company.
Henry is survived by his wife Mary Louise, sons Sean Lopez (Laura) and Scott Lopez, stepsons Mark Juanitas (Doreen) and James Juanitas, sisters Viriginia Ornales, Rosie Becerra and Cindy Hidalgo, sister-in-law Dolores Gonsalez and brother-in-law Marcus Gonsalez, grandsons Jarrud & Trevor, plus many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd at the DeYoung Chapel at 601 N. California Street, Stockton, California from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. with a rosary to follow from 3:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. A mass will be held at 12:00pm at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church at 2555 Country Club Drive, Stockton, California on Thursday, September 4th with burial services to follow at 1:30pm at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, California.
