Herbert proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. A decorated veteran, he served during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the military, he began a second career with the United States Postal Service, working as a mail carrier until his retirement in 1999.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Dorothy; his sons, Ray and Christopher; his daughter-in-law, Cherryl; his grandchildren, Cherina, Tashia, and Malik; and his great-grandchildren, Zaria, Zaiden, and Halo. Herbert will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love for classic westerns, and his deep devotion to his family.
Herbert’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
