James Edward Larson

James (Jim) Edward Larson, 69, of Stockton, CA, passed away on Friday, November 25. Jim was born on January 3rd, 1953. He graduated from Stagg High School in 1971 and later spent his career in service management. He met his wife, Sara, in 1976 and they were married in 1978. They went on to have two children, Becky Haywood (Larson) and Brent Larson. Jim and Sara celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary in October. Following retirement, Jim and Sara split their time between their home in Stockton and making memories at their cabin in Dorrington, CA. Jim loved spending time with his family, fishing, and helping others. He was active in his community, serving on the Fire and Sanitation district boards and regularly doing handyman work for nearby neighbors. Jim is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Snipes and stepfather Bud Snipes. He is survived by his wife Sara, children Becky (Jeff) Haywood and Brent Larson, 6-month old granddaughter Sophie, Brother and Sister-in-Law Bob and Kathy Larson, Sister and brother-in-law Kathy (Larson) and John Vossmer. Nephew Craig Larson and Neices Jamie Larson and Marissa Vossmer. A Service will be held for James on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11am located at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 4910 Claremont Ave. Stockton, CA with a Celebration of life immediately following at Valley Brew, 157 W. Adams St. Stockton, CA.
