Jimmy Dean Hess

Jimmy Dean Hess born August 17, 1957 to Wally F. Hess and Betty L. Porter Hess. Jim passed away on February 17, 2016 at the age of 58 at home with wife at his side. He was survived by his wife of 36 years, Virginia Mendez Hess, and children Jimmie Hess Jr., Shireen Mendez, Tricia Hess, Julian Hess and Gloria Rodriguez; brothers, Mike, Lee, Fred, Melvin, and John. Predeceased by parents Wally F. Hess, Betty L. Porter Hess and only sister Tammy (Hess) Gloria. Jim worked last 18 years at JM Eagle and Down River prior to that. He enjoyed riding his Harley and trips to various casinos. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren. Jim was loved, admired and respected by many nieces, nephews, and godchildren as a father figure. Jim was overall an amazing person with a huge and selfless heart and well known for his comical sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. Viewing will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA 95202 on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 2 pm to 6 pm with Rosary at 6 pm. Funeral Service will start at 10 am on Friday, February 26, 2016 at DeYoung with graveside service to follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
