John Castillo, 84, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, August 12. He was born in Rocky Ford Colorado and also resided in Washington, before coming to Stockton to live in 1941.He was employed by Frito-Lay for 8years, Stockton Unified School District for 5 years and worked 30 years for Stockton Plating until his retirement. He was a hard worker and a good provider for his family and will be remembered for his stories and his great smile. He is survived by his wife Margarita V. Castillo, daughters, Linda Castillo, Rosann San Nicolas, Silvia Chavez, Anna Ramirez, Theresa Perez, Julie Castillo, Jolet Castillo, a son, Johnny Castillo Jr., 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, brother Leo Castillo, brother-in-law, Juan Garcia, sisters, Mary Vorelli, Betty Padilla and Ortincia Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Castillo and Isabel S. Munoz and a son, David Joe Ramirez Jr.. He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 20, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Georges Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Recitation of the rosary at 6:00 PM, at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary.
