Joseph Barnes IV

December 22, 2016 – January 25, 2019

Our precious son, Joseph “Joey” Barnes IV, went to be with our Lord on Friday, January 25, 2019. Joey brought joy and happiness to everyone he touched.

Joey is deeply loved and will be forever cherished in the hearts and memories of his parents, Joseph "JJ" III and Tia Barnes; big sisters Janae, Emani, and Jaelynn Barnes; big brothers Dajon Davis, Mikah Barnes, and Xavier Harris-Barnes; siblings in love Joesiah Wallace, Kealani Stewart-Davies, Amiya Davies, and Elijah Alexander; grandparents Bishop Rufus and Pastor Trena Turner, Joseph Jr. and Lorraine Barnes, and great-grandmother Mother Mary Ann George. His memories will live on through his God-parents Ed and Tam-me Jackson, Cassandra Ogletree and Julius Smith and in all of his many aunts and great aunts, uncles and great uncles, cousins, and many other family and friends. Joey was loved by all who met him and will be greatly missed.

Joey is preceded in death by his grandmother Alzata Crawford and was joined one day following his departure by his great-grandmother Selma Barnes.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, CA for the incredible care provided to Joey and the entire family. We would also like to thank the staff at De Young Memorial Chapel for their kindness during this time.

The family appreciates all of the prayers and concerns extended in love.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Victory In Praise Church, 2029 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA 95205.
