

Joe served four years in the Air Force and while in service met his future wife, Judy, on a blind date. They were married shortly thereafter and settled in Stockton. Joe began work as a milk delivery man and Dr. Pepper driver. He was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. He held several other positions and ended a 28 year career with the Federal Government; he then worked for Carr Electric for 7 years. He served as a Lt. in the Stockton Police Reserve for 15 years and earned an Associate of Arts Degree at Delta College. He enjoyed his family and created many special memories at his family cabin in Avery since 1977. He traveled the world on 13 cruises with his wife Judy and daughter Suzette.
He is survived by Judy, his loving wife of 60 years; sister Marvene; children Sandy (Gary), Joseph III, David (Tracy), Patti (Don), Mark (Gentye), Jayme (Traci); and 11 grandchildren Amanda, Patrick, Melanie, Rebecca, Donny, Desire', Shaina, Chelsea, Chad, Haley, and Brandon. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Suzette, and sisters Phyllis, Neomi, and Margaret Ann.
Family services will be held. Dad always enjoyed a cold beer...so cheers to you and cheers to him. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
