Joseph attended St. Mary’s High School, graduating with the class of 1974. Shortly after, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Loadmaster from 1974 to 1980. Following his military service, Joseph spent much of his career working as a skilled handyman and plumber. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and took pride in fixing things and helping others whenever he could.
Above all, Joseph was a wonderful and dedicated father. He rarely missed his daughters’ baseball and softball games and took great pride in cheering them on from the sidelines. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
Joseph was a thoughtful and loving husband to Anabell Limas for nearly fifteen years. He had a deep love for his dogs and a compassionate heart, always ready to help those in need—whether they had two legs or four.
He is survived by his wife, Anabell Limas; his daughters, Carmel Limas, Faye Limas, and Maryjo Limas; his siblings, Steve, Frank, Rita, Tony, Mary, Vincent, and Linda; and his best friend, Dave.
Joseph was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, MariLou Limas; his parents, Carmel Melgren and Jesse Limas; and his sister, Amelia.
Joseph will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to family, and the love he shared so freely with everyone around him.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Joseph’s life and the many memories he leaves behind.
