Kris was born on October 16, 1957 in Stockton, California to Elvera Batres and Richard “Bud” Moore, who also welcomed his siblings Kelly and Kary Moore. He graduated from Stagg High in 1976. He grew up close to his family and shared a strong bond with his friend Mike Laack, who was welcomed into their home by Elvera for a time during their youth and with whom he shared over 50 years of friendship. Kris worked as a sales representative for Denco Sales and Interstate Electric, roles that reflected his strong work ethic and charming personality. Upon moving to Clements, he volunteered as a firefighter for 3 years at the Clements Fire Station.
Kris grew up playing baseball, a sport he enjoyed from a young age and carried with him throughout his life. He loved working with his hands and valued hard work and taking pride in what he built. He had a lifelong interest in cars and was especially proud of restoring his 1967 Chevelle, which he enjoyed showing at car shows. He also enjoyed attending NASCAR races and sharing those interests with friends, Billy and Donnie Seldon. He frequently attended church and connected in faith with his friend Steve Trinidad. Kris was proud of his children and would want peace and protection for them now.
After a hard-fought battle with cancer, he passed peacefully. Kris was deeply spiritual, drawing strength and meaning from his faith throughout his life. He is now welcomed home and reunited with Elvera, Lupe and Bobby.
