

Lee was a proud native son, born in Stockton on November 5, 1925, to proud parents Roy and Eda Wilson. He is survived by his wife Jan, and his children, sons Michael (Kathy) of Stockton and Alan Wilson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and daughter Michele (Tom) Mannor of Stockton. His grandchildren, Phillip (Ashley) Mannor, Ashley Mannor, Crystal (Nick) Corren, Ryan (Natalia) Wilson of Sacramento, Mike Jr. and Nick, of Stockton. Great grandchildren Aiden, Patrick, Navaeh, Elizabeth, Joseph, Gianna, and Xander.
Lee honorably served his country in WWII in the 69th Division meeting at the Elbe River with the Russians to shake hands at the end of the European War.
He married Adelaida Holtzrider upon returning from the war. He received his college degree in accounting while he was working at Del Monte as office manager. He later retired from Del Monte and set up his own accounting firm. He married Vernette Holmes, of Stockton, who joined him at the accounting firm. As a family they enjoyed trailering to Ohio and Washington D.C. and enjoying camping in the foothills as well at some California State Parks, until her demise.
As he neared retirement he married Janice (Jan) Bentz, of Lodi. He welcomed his stepchildren Karen (Tim) Keller, Kevin (Judy) and Kerry Edwards, as one big family. Jan was a Keister Travel agent and the two of them were off and running. Lee and Jan went to East and West Germany, after the Berlin wall came down. They went to Leipzig to revisit Lee’s old stomping grounds, barracks, and the 69th monument at the Elbe River.
Cruising took them to Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Panama Canal, Cozumel, (Lee was so proud of climbing the Mayan ruins – “Chichen Itza”- at the age of 75). Countries visited were Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Guatemala, Paris, and London. Via rail from Toronto to Nova Scotia.
Lee was a proud member of Kiwanis of 41 years. He and Jan attended Eastside Kiwanis where he was President one year and Treasurer the rest. Then Lee and Jan joined the El Dorado Kiwanis Club until recently.
Predeceased are parents Ron and Eda Wilson, granddaughter Nicole Mannor, and Baby Stephen Wilson.
Funeral services are being held on Friday, December 16, at 10 a.m. at Frist Baptist Church Chapel in Stockton. Following the service family and friends are welcome to attend the military burial taking place at the Stockton Rural Cemetery as he receives his final military honors. Assisting will be the American Legion Karl Ross #16. Funeral arrangements were made by Frisbee, Warren, and Carroll Mortuary. The family wishes to thank San Joaquin Hospice as well as caregivers Lori & Angel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society or First Baptist Church Children’s Center or one of your choice.
