Lorice Abdallah

Lorice Abdallah, age 90, of Jerusalem Palestine, passed away on August 16, 2021 in Galt Ca. Lorice was born in Jerusalem to Abed and Mary Salman on September 27, 1930. She married Tawfiq Abdallah October 20, 1946 in Jerusalem. Lorice was a devout Catholic. She was involved with the church throughout her life especially the Legion of Mary. She was a member of different church organizations and was on the church choir for almost 30 years. She never missed the 5 am daily mass at the church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, rain or shine, healthy or sick. She was a good homemaker, a wonderful wife, a wonderful mother, and a wonderful friend and a very independent individual. Her family, next to her faith, was the most important thing to her. She taught her kids to love and be compassionate. If anyone needed her, she would do whatever was needed to help, even if she were sick.

Lorice is preceded in death by her parents Abed and Mary Salman, her husband Tawfiq, her brother Yousef, her sisters, Najla, Rebecca, Jeanette, and Yola.

Lorice is survived by her daughter Clara and her husband Amin, her son Michael and his wife Susie, her son John, her sisters Evelyn, Therese, Rose, her grandchildren Nader, Tammy, Christine, Angie, Julian, and her great-grandchildren Jessica, Matthew, Harper, Preston, 14 nephews and 12 nieces.

Viewing will be available on Aug 30 at 6 pm followed by a rosary at 7 pm. DeYoung Shoreline Chapel 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, Ca.

Funeral service will be held on August 31 at 11:00 am at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 3847 N Sutter Street, Stockton, Ca.

Burial will be at the mausoleum in San Joaquin Catholic cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Luke’s social hall.

Memorial donations in memory of Lorice may be made to St. Luke’s Catholic Church.
