Lorraine Jennie Mastro, 96 of Stockton, passed away peacefully at home with her two sons by her side. She was born to Narch and Pauline DeVecchio in Fresno California on September 3, 1921. Lorraine graduated from Edison Technical High School in Fresno. She married her husband, Joseph Mastro on July 9, 1949. Lorraine and Joe, moved from Fresno to Stockton in 1951 and started a family. She worked for LUSD in food service for over 25 years. As an Italian mother, family and food were of great importance. Lorraine was a great cook and hosted many gatherings of family and friends. She was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. Lorraine will be missed by her loving family and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Mastro in 1987, and her brother Bill DeVecchio. She is survived by her brother Peter DeVecchio of Fresno, sister Gloria Fisher and goddaughter niece Kelly Fisher Hester of Silver Spring, Maryland, and sons Ken and Gary Mastro of Stockton. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Presentation, 6715 Leesburg Place, Stockton, California. Committal will follow at San Joaquin Catholic Mausoleum. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 6:00 PM at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, California. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin or the Alzheimerʼs Association.
