

Louis F. Asborno was born on April 4, 1936, and passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2015. He was 78 years old. Louie was preceded in death by his parents Edith Asborno and Frank Asborno. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joanne, and his four children: Linda Priest (Bob), Marty Asborno (Renee), Becky Stockman (Ray) and Andy Asborno. He leaves behind his two sisters Liz Trainor (Don) of Stockton and DeAnna Asborno of Vermont. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren (Tony, Chris (Inpong), Shannon (Anthony), Samantha (Josh), Justin (Mallory), Zachary, Justin, James, and Maycee) and eight great grandchildren (Eric, Tayli, Gavin, Adam, Natalie, JJ, Vinny and Penny) and many nieces and nephews. Louie proudly served in the United States Marine Corps before beginning a 60+ year career in the trucking industry, first at Marino Brothers Trucking, then T & T Trucking, and finishing his career at Cherokee Freight Lines before retiring in 2009. Louie enjoyed many hours and was a proud member of many clubs, including the Italian Athletic Club, Waterloo Athletic Club, Sons of Italy, Italian Gardeners Society, Waterloo Gun & Bocce Club, Moose Lodge, American Legion, and Antique Truck Society. He will be dearly missed by his family and countless friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel at 601 N. California Street, in Stockton, California. A Rosary and Mass will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 5882 N. Ashley Lane, in Stockton.
