Louis R. Montanez was born August 31, 1939 in Stockton, CA to parents Blas and Soledad Montanez, and died on June 19, 2015. Louis lived in Stockton all of his life. He served in the US Navy from 1957-1961. He is survived by his wife, Mary and daughter, Danielle Barzaga (Rene) and grandsons Matthew and Christopher Barzaga. He is survived by his Brother Blas Montanez (Sofia), sisters Rosalie Deizell , Ann Berg, and Vickie Edens (Steve). Louis was preceded in death by brothers Refugio, Antonio, Roman, Manuel, Julio , and sister Eleanor Love. He is survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Louis donated generously to Catholic Charities, Children’s Homes, Disabled Veterans, and Veterans of War. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any of these charities. A memorial service will be held on July 2, 2015 at 10am at DeYoung Memorial Chapel.
