Noelia was born on April 10, 1954, in Colima, Mexico to Gregorio Curiel and Maria de Jesus Curiel. Noelia grew up in a loving home and had a special bond with her parents and honored them with her support and willingness to pitch in whenever they needed her. Noelia enjoyed spending time with her mother learning how to cook, garden, and manage a household.
Noelia met the love of her life, Rudy Rodriguez, and they were married on May 11, 1974. Although Noelia worked outside of the home, she was most interested in building a life with her husband. Noelia continued her love of cooking and always had something on the stove whenever family and friends visited. She would also teach her young nieces how to cook some of her favorite foods. Noelia’s love of gardening and growing plants was evident everywhere you looked. She created a beautiful, welcoming and loving home for her husband and anyone who walked through the door. Noelia was a very giving and thoughtful person because visitors always left with something, a plate of food or plants and flowers from her garden. Noelia cared about her community and spent time with her neighbors and their families. At times, she would babysit and help to mentor the neighbor’s children and make sure they completed schoolwork. Noelia was a devoted wife, cherished friend, and compassionate woman.
Noelia leaves behind her husband, Rudy, of 51 years, with several siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
