7/29/1940– 11/29/2025
With heartfelt love and gratitude for a life well- lived, the family announces the passing of Pat, age 85, on November 29, 2025. A fun-loving, generous and spiritual woman, Pat enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Born in Tulare, Ca. to Charles and Ruth Nichols, she grew up in Visalia, Ca. Pat shared a loving and devoted marriage to her husband Don for 64 years. They shared a deep faith, mutual respect and countless joyful moments. Together they also endured a profound tragedy with the death of their only child, Kristen, who predeceased her 11 years ago. Their strength, faith and love carried them through that endless grief for the rest of her life.
Pat found her calling as a travel agent, a profession that fit her perfectly. She loved not only helping others explore the world, but exploring it herself. She enjoyed collecting memories and stories, sharing her adventures with her many friends. Travel brought her joy and a sense of connection to the world that she cherished deeply. Pat cared about the direction of her country and was daily emerged in following politics. Her love for politics came from her love for people staying informed and caring about their communities.
In the past few years, she was blessed with the devoted care from Ana, whose daily presence brought comfort, safety and happiness. Their bond was filled with trust, gratitude and genuine affection. Her family wishes to acknowledge that loving care with much appreciation. Pat will be deeply missed by her husband Don, her close friends and everyone who were touched by her kindness.
Per her wishes, no celebration of life or services will be held at this time. The family invites all that knew her to honor her memory by embracing the laughter, love and open-hearted generosity Pat so freely shared throughout her life.
