Philip is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Josie; his daughter Annette and son Richard; his four grandchildren Selina, Albert, Christina and Richard Jr; his six great grandchildren Jordan, Jayden, Carlos Jr., Izabella, Janessa and Abigail; his siblings Sister Angela, Joe, Philly, Danny, Frank, and Andy Lovato. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Philip is preceded in death by his parents Candido and Delfinia Lovato; his son Philip W. Lovato Jr; his great grandchildren baby Josh and Genesee; his siblings Lloyd, Levi, Charlie, Wilfred, Alice, and Benny Lovato.
Philip was a quiet and reserved man. He was hardworking and dedicated employee during his 34-year career at American Molding. He was a devoted family man with a love for various hobbies such as taking trips to New Mexico for family reunions, golfing, fishing, and deer hunting. He was also a long time loyal San Francisco 49ers fan and enjoyed watching football.
Philip’s passing was a great loss to his loved ones, who will miss him dearly, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication that will never be forgotten.
A Visitation for Philip will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A Rosary will occur Monday, March 18, 2024 at 6:00 PM, 601 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, 1663 E. Main Street, Stockton, California. A committal will occur Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, California.
