Robert John Granados

Robert was born June 1st, 1944, in Stockton CA to the late Mike & Virginia Granados. He attended schools in Concord CA, where he later graduated from. Upon graduation Robert enlisted in the US Army where he was assigned the Calvary unit patrolling the East and the West in Berlin, Germany. Shortly after leaving the US Army Robert found a passion for bull riding and later became the 1967 Bull Riding champion. Robert later attended the police academy and spent 5 years working for the Tracy Police department. That is where it led him into his Correctional Officer career, which he spent 30 years in. Not only did he have outstanding experience in corrections, but he also found another passion for fighting fires in Georgetown CA. Once Robert retired from a successful career, Robert chose to work during his retirement at Enterprise as a driver for 14 years. Robert’s hobbies included watching tennis, golf, rodeo/horse shows, and watching football, specifically the Raiders. Roberts favorite horse was the Arabian Horses because he said they have big asses.

Roberts greatest accomplishment in life was becoming a father to his three daughters, Annette Marie Bonilla, Esther Theresa Simmons & Lora Granados. He enjoyed taking his girls to rodeos and sporting events that were held by the correctional officers.

Robert married his wife Guillermina Bejarano Granados on April 20th, 1992. They chose to create their lives together in Stockton CA. Robert & Mina enjoyed attending concerts together. His favorite meals were always cooked by his wife. He loved her cooking.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Mike & Virginia Granados as well as many family members. He is survived by his daughters, Annette (Clemente), Esther (Carlos) and Lora(Virginia). His devoted wife Guillermina of 32 years. His siblings, Esther Smith & Frederick Granados, and three nephews. Two stepsons Jose Casarrubias Cardenas & Cesar Casarrubias Cardenas. Robert leaves behind 5 grandsons and 5 granddaughters and 19 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind 4 step-granddaughters and 2 step-grandsons.
