Rosalva “Rose” Sandoval passed at the age of 83 on September 4, 2025, in the home of her son, surrounded by beloved family members. Rose was born in Stockton at Dameron Hospital on July 27, 1942. She attended classes at Delta College and worked at the cannery for 22 years. She loved attending and volunteering at church, singing, gardening, and cherishing time with her family. Rose was preceded by her eldest son John Paul Sandoval. She is survived by her husband Juan Sandoval, children Nancy Sandoval and Michael Sandoval, granddaughter Melissa Sandoval and sister Sally Vasquez. Rose will be remembered for her jovial laughter, love for God, family, and inner strength.
A visitation for Rose will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A funeral service will follow the next day on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10 a.m., 601 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A burial will occur follow at Stockton Rural Cemetery, 2350 Cemetery Lane, Stockton, California.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Rudy Cervantes and Richard Sanchez along with Albert Castello, Maricela Magdaleno, Scott Tomingo, Andrew Sisneroz, Efrain Torres and Carlos Torres as pallbearers.
