Rose Buhagiar

April 28, 1933 - January 31, 2026

Mrs. Rose Buhagiar was born in Xaghra, Gozo, Malta on April 28th 1933, and died peacefully surrounded by her family on January 31st, 2026. Rose married her husband of 60 years Eucharistic (Chris) Buhagiar on the 19th of March, 1952, immigrating to the United States in May of 1952 and raising a family of six in the Portola District of San Francisco, California. The Buhagiar family relocated to Stockton, California in 1976, where Rose worked for General Mills Cereals in Lodi through her retirement in early 1990s.

Mrs. Buhagiar is preceded in death by her beloved husband, daughter Lisette, and son-in-law Alfred Rapa, and is followed into the hereafter by her son Joseph. Rose is survived by her beautiful children: daughter Mary Rose, daughter-in-law Susan, and sons Lino & wife Gerilyn, Raymond & wife Tarita, and Chris & wife Maria Elena. She leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her brother Tony Bajada, sisters-in-law Josephine Bajada, Rachel Vella and Bernarda Buhagiar, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 20th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Presentation, 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Drive, Stockton, California.
