Victor (Coach) Berg, 85, of Stockton passed away on Saturday July 15, 2017. In 1957 he started his teaching career at Marshall Junior High and in 1960 proceeded to Edison High School. He retired from Edison in 1992. Many of his years at Edison were spent as a Baseball and Football coach. It was nearly impossible to go anywhere with him and not hear the familiar "Hey Coach" followed by friendly reminisces. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gail, and daughter Susie. He is survived by his son Chris (Val) Berg, grandson Danny (Megan) Bennett, grandson Ethan (Whitney) Bennett and granddaughter Haley Bennett. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 25 at 12 pm - 5 pm at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 26 at 10 am at Church of the Presentation. Committal will be private.
