Willard Jesse Clair

Willard J Clair February 14, 1942 - May 8, 2016 On May 8, 2016 the Lord called Willard home. Willard passed away at home surrounded by family after a brief illness. Willard was born in Stratton, CO but was a longtime resident of Stockton, CA. He was married to Frankie Clair for 51 years, sharing an amazing love. Willard was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, family always came first . Willard served in the United States Navy on the USS SeaFox and also devoted 28 years to the Stockton Police Department as a police officer, retiring as a police sergeant in 1995. Willard was an active member of the South Stockton Lions Club, holding multiple positions, along with serving as District Governor in 1992-1993. He was also a member of the Ed Stewart American Legion Post #803. He is survived by his wife Frankie and daughters Randie Chunn (Vince) and Rachelle Evans (Michael). He was a loving grandfather to Seth Chunn (Aubrey), Arissa Chunn, Jeffrey Evans, Nathaniel Chunn, and Amanda Evans. He was a loving brother to Irene Weyerman (Dean), Wayne Clair (Tilly), Lorene Thomason (Wes), and preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Elizabeth Clair and brother Duane Clair (Dee). Visitation will be held for Mr.Clair on Thurs. May 12,2016 at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel 7676 Shoreline Dr. from 12pm to 5pm Funeral service will be Friday May 13, 2016 at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel at 10am.
