David T. Nolan. 64, completed his journey on September 9, 2010. He died of a brain tumor after a short illness. He was born in Galveston, TX and graduated from University of Houston with a degree in Economics. There were many things that defined David’s life. He was a commercial designer and builder who took great pride in the quality of his work. He was an avid reader and always had a keen interest in learning. He was proud of his years as a Boy Scout growing up in Texas, and was a passionate volunteer Assistant Boy Scout Leader, volunteer at Stone Mountain Co-op, and volunteer at Trickum Middle School. He eagerly looked forward to the day when his son, Morrison would earn his Eagle Scout rank. David had learned many things on his journey, but his most valued discovery was that meaning in life is not found in what we receive, but in what we give. He defined his life by his love for his family; it was the gift he cherished most. He is survived by his wife, Linda Strow, and his sons Morrison Nolan and David Glen Nolan. He was preceeded in death by his father, mother, and brother. A memorial service will be held on Sunday September 12 at 3 pm at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 5801 Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain, GA. Burial will take place in Custar, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Friends of Scouting or Stone Mountain Co-op.
Arrangements under the direction of Horis A. Ward - Stone Mountain Chapel, Stone Mountain, GA.
