It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angela on April 24th, 2025 at the age of 76. Angela passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, after a long battle with cancer. A testament to who Angela was, she faced her journey with bravery, courage and humour, while avoiding any ‘fuss’ and maintaining her desire for privacy.
Angela will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 56 years John; her two children Louise (Craig) and Joseph - ‘Joe’ (Gina); her adored grandchildren: Ethan, Joanna (Braeden), Olivia, Lindsey and Willow, and her doubly adored great-grandchildren Amelia and Adaline.
Angela was predeceased by her mother Elsie and father Leslie. She is survived by her loving brother Paul (Lyn) and his family.
Angela was born in Coventry, England where she spent her happy childhood and grew up to be a fabulous hair stylist. In 1977, she immigrated to Canada with her young family and began her second career as an early childhood educator and playschool teacher. Angela loved working with children above all. This would lead her to her final goal of establishing a foundation with her husband, to help disadvantaged children in Mexico. The foundation was aptly named Help Change A Life, and together, Angela and John changed many lives.
In accordance with Angela’s wishes, a small private Celebration of Life will be held.
Angela truly was a beautiful person inside and out. We would inspire everyone to remember Angela, and her compassion for those in need, with an act of kindness towards others. Also, we would encourage everyone to celebrate Angela’s love of life and fun with a cheeky shot of tequila or two.
If friends desire, a donation can be made in Angela’s memory to her foundation - Help Change A Life. Please contact John at [email protected] or go to the foundation’s website at https://www.helpchangealife.ca/ to obtain more information about making a donation.
